Disclaimer
Please read this before relying on any dimension or guidance on this site.
Information only
Dimensions, ranges and clearances on this site are typical or illustrative reference information compiled from public sources. They are not building-code requirements, engineering advice or a specification for any product. Manufacturer instructions, local codes and the advice of qualified professionals take precedence.
Calculator
The size calculator converts units and compares your entries against illustrative ranges. Vehicle dimensions it offers are rough examples. Always measure your own vehicle and opening, and have an installer verify before ordering.
Safety
Garage doors are heavy and their springs are under high tension. Do not attempt spring, cable or structural work unless you are qualified.
Advertising
The site may display advertising. Ads are clearly labelled “Advertisement” and are separate from editorial content. Advertisers do not influence our dimensions or recommendations.
Affiliate links and referrals
In future, some links may be affiliate links, and quote requests may be passed to garage door professionals who pay a referral fee. We will label affiliate links and describe any referral arrangement on the relevant page. We do not currently have any affiliate or referral partners.
Third-party sites
We link to manufacturer and supplier sites as sources. We are not responsible for their content, which may change.
